Weather & Clothing

In mid October, the daily highs in the Salt Lake City area run in the mid-60s while evening temperatures are typically in the mid-40s.

There is no specific dress code for any of the program inclusions. Just pack your Go Pokes gear!

Meals

Meals, unless otherwise specified, are not included in your package price. When planning meals, please allow enough time to be on time for scheduled group departures.

Game Tickets

Game tickets will be transferred via email from the Oklahoma State Alumni Association to arrive no later than Tuesday, October 15th. They will be sent to the email address provided for the main reservation contact.

Tour Desk

An OSUAA/Spears Travel Information Desk will be staffed at your hotel during dedicated hours (see below) to provide information and assistance as needed.

Luggage

To ensure proper handling of your baggage, please follow the instructions below:

Make sure you have identification on each of your bags including your name, address and cell phone number
Limit yourself to one (1) carry-on item and one (1) small, personal item that must fit in the overhead compartment or beneath the seat.
Checked bags will incur a fee of $40 for the first bag and $45 for a second bag. Fees are payable to the ticket agent upon check-in. Standard checked bag allowance is a total of 62 inches (Length + Width + Height) and must weigh 50 lbs per bag or less.
Items such as jewelry, cash, electronics, business documents, car/house keys, irreplaceable photographs or similar items should not be placed in checked baggage but should be kept in the passenger’s personal possession at all times.
All vital medications including insulin, pills, and other medicines should be in your carry-on or personal item.

To help our tour hosts identify you as part of our tour group, we ask that you wear your official event credential for all transfers. Your event credentials will be distributed at the hotel.

Tour Departure

8:45 am

Meet your tour host and guide in the lobby. Today's tour will involve some walking, so please wear appropriate footwear.

SLC/Park City Tour

9:00 am

Tour of SLC driving by the Pioneer Park, Delta Center., Univ of Utah campus and including stops at the State Capitol, Temple Square and This is the Place Heritage Park.

The tour continues with a 45 min drive to Park City.

You will be dropped off at the top of Main St., allowing you time to have lunch (on your own) and do some shopping along the way. The bus will pick up the group at the bottom of Main St.

Return to Hotel

3:30 pm

Motorcoach will depart Park City for return to the Marriott at City Creek. Estimated arrival at the hotel is 4:30 pm

Flight Check-in

7:30 am

Check-in at the American Airlines Ticket Counter, Tulsa International Airport.

Present your photo ID to the ticket agent to receive your boarding pass and check bags. Once your bags are checked, you should proceed to TSA and onto your gate. Tour representative, Teresa Yee, will be near the counter if you need assistance.

Once you deplane, proceed to baggage claim to regroup with your tour host, Teresa Yee, and retrieve your bags. You will then be directed to the awaiting motorcoach for transfer to the hotel.

Hotel Check-in

3:00 pm

Upon arrival at the Salt Lake Marriott Downtown at City Creek, proceed to the front desk to receive your room key. Your room and tax have been pre-paid; however, you will need to present your credit card for incidentals (room service, parking, etc).

Since your arrival is prior to hotel check-in time, your room may not be ready. Luggage will be stored until your room becomes available.

Happy Hour

6:00 pm - 8:00 pm

Enjoy some cold brews with visiting Cowboys at a Thursday night happy hour! Food and drinks are the responsibility of the patron.

Location: The Green Pig Pub, 31 E 400 S, Salt Lake City (approximately a 15 minute walk from the hotel. \

Tabernacle Choir Practice

7:30 pm - 9:30 pm

The Tabernacle Choir Thursday night rehearsal is open to the public. For those interested in attending the Salt Lake Tabernacle is within walking distance of the hotel (0.4 miles).

Stadium Departure

3:45 pm

Meet in the lobby to board the motorcoach. Make sure you have your cell phone and have saved your game tickets to your wallet.

Motorcoach departs for LaVell Edwards Stadium in Provo at 4:00 pm.

OSUAA Pre-game

5:45 pm - 7:45 pm

The Cowboy Corral Pregame Tailgate is the best place for orange-clad fans to fuel up for the game!

Location: Miller Park (BYU Baseball Stadium)

Light snacks and non alcoholic beverages will be served.

Stadium Entry

6:15 pm

Stadium gates open 2 hours prior to kick-off

LaVell Edwards Stadium has adopted a NO bag policy. Small clutch bags, no larger than 5” x 8” x 1” , with or without a handle or strap can be taken into the stadium

Hotel Return

Report to the hotel lobby with your luggage. Check-out of the hotel at the front desk and pay all incidental charges.
